@prairiestormwx Were still at 9.7% unemployement, black youth from 16-19 are at 40% unemployment. How are the facts Glenn Beck Propaganda?? Anyways, I do think the U.S. is getting better, but how much that has to do with Obama stimulus spending still is not known. Not even the greatest economists can answer that.

First of all, for stagflation to occur you need inflation which is not caused by the process you described.
Second, business WILL hire because there is immediate work to be done. If the government says, we need a school here, then they hire a company who needs to employ people to work on the project. It doesn't matter if they think the stimulus is helping or not. Clearly you don't understand what government spending does.

Its a hyperbole to make a point. And just because you pump money into the system doesn't mean that businesses will start hiring. They may think the stimulas is not helping, causing them to delay employing people, which will ruin the deficit and increase unemployment even further. STAGFLATION will occur. |
