http://live.pirillo.com - There are ways to adjust bandwidth on an application by application basis, or even a device by device basis. Unfortunately, it's basically not possible to limit bandwidth by website. There are ways you can assign priority to certain applications to allocate your bandwidth where you need it most.

@TrowbridgeHardcore Well over here they will sale us an "unlimited" package which one would assume total bandwidth freedom..well that is not always the case seeing as how sometimes very few "node" servers feed very large cities LA or NY for instance. Basically the company deals with this by either throttling user bandwidth or terminating contracts with people who don't comply with warnings.

@miasmablk It appears so lol, another thing i dont get about us internet is why do they all have usage limits and bandwith limits, over here almost every packkage (even the crappyest adsl) is unlimited

@TrowbridgeHardcore Yeah I can only imagine. We're starting to get faster fiber optic networks in certain areas however I doubt it will be any cheaper. You are very lucky.

@miasmablk yh over here adsl 2 is by far more popular beceause there are hundreds of adsl conpanies and only one cabel (virgin media), i am on cabel btw and i must say it compleatly pisses over adsl lol

@TrowbridgeHardcore Yeah definitely, but that's what happens when you have monopolies in place like Comcast like we do. In many cities here in the US they are the only cable internet service provider.

The headlines in tomorrow's newspapers will be "Cable Company destroys Internet" Because as soon as you try to control people..they will create a new way.. What we need to do is create a wifi to wifi internet..where each person becomes a broadcaster from wireless to wireless creating a linking chain which will transfer data via wireless hub to wireless hub...exchanging information by passing cable companies. PERIOD!!! anyone up for the hack?

My brother throttles my bandwidth on my wireless connection. When I change the password on my router and unthrottle it, he changes it again and disconnects the router. Unfortunately the router is in his room and my parents won't do anything about it.
